Exactly it only has to be on a 15 minute delay to avoid any sort of conspiracy theories that would come with showing the holecards on a "live" broadcast.

Yet another profit off the tournament yet the casino will still rake 6% and probably only give $10 buffet vouchers again.

As cool as it sounds, it would be very hard to order this for 25 bucks if the final table is a bunch of nobodies. I would probably order aslong as there's is 1 pro/name.

I would rather watch nobodies.

Only if they show hole cards. Have you guys ever watched poker without seeing the hole cards - unwatchable.

Not with Phil Hellmuth doing commentary. Then you get to hear him read hands, and then hear him suck his own dick when he's right every time. Fairly entertaining, really.

[/ QUOTE ]

Give Hellmuth some credit. He, perhaps surprisingly, provided some excellent final table commentary last year.

I dunno. What if you're at the final table and your friend is watching the broadcast elsewhere in the casino, then during breaks comes up to you and says "hey the guy in seat 5 has had weak Aces every time he's reraised from his small blind, and the guy in seat 7 folded a set of 4s when the flush card came on the river and you pushed..."

Now do you see why they won't broadcast hole cards?

Hopefully they could get Howard Lederer to do the commentary. The live event at turningstone on FSN was great. That also had good players too though.

Don't offer the PPV broadcast in the LV area?

Treat the players like a sequestered Jury due to the PPV special and just usher them for breaks and meals without allowing contact with friends/family?

Dunno if those 2 would work, but not showing hole cards on the PPV special will be a huge mistake. Poker without hole card cams is terrible.

There's a reason it exploded when people started being able to see what the players had....

F'ING SWEET.

I've never ordered anything on PPV in my life except a couple of football games but I'll be doing this.

Live main event baby, get to see every hand.

I seriously doubt they will broadcast hole cards, if they do they will have to "sequester" the players to ensure they don't receive info.

You could have a friend watch the final table taking notes, and then during a break call him up and get info on how everyone is playing.

It would only work if like I said, you shadowed the players at all times once the final table began to ensure they did not contact someone who has been watching. More trouble than it's worth.

My guess is the hole card cameras wont be used.

The problem is some people would have access to info. that other players would not. i.e. finding out from someone what a certain player had on a particular hand. I doubt they would be able to keep the players separate from the crowd the way the Rio is set up.

So my guess would be no hole cameras.

like someone said though it would probably be the best poker info ever shown, especially if a known type player made the event.
