disconnections, need help

ok i am posting on behalf or a friend.
i'm absolutly rubbish with computers so i thought someone here could help.
so my friend plays on ladbrokespoker.com and these days disconnects very frequenly some times up to 5 times per hour. when these disconnections happen, a lot of the time other programs such as MSN messenger and such do not disconnect. i've advised her to contact ladbrokes and they told her to reinstall the program which she did with no luck.
so what are the possible reasons this happens?
and what advice can you give me.
i'm happy to answer any questions regarding this matter.
any help what so ever would be very much appreciated.
