Default AK hu in position, unimproved

I have AK ( King of diamonds) on c/o. 64/7/1.5 in MP limps, I raise, everyone folds to limper who calls. I’m heads up in position.

Flop = 7,5,2 with 2 diamonds.
Opponent checks, I bet, he check raises, I call.

Turn = J diamonds ( giving me king high diamond draw )
Opponent bets, I call.

River= 3 hearts ( missing me )
opponent bets, I call.

1) should I have thrown away on flop as soon as I was check raised? I usually peal one in these situations.
2) should I have raised turn
3) as played, does anyone fold river.

I usaully play the same folding river. I will sometimes turn semi-bluff raise (and take a free sd), but the problem with that is if opponent 3-bets then I have to call which sucks. I don't do this all the time & only against the right opponents.

I think the river has to be a fold. I hate the river card as hands like A3 and A4 now beat us.

On the turn you have to call. Some people like a raise here for showdown but it opens us up to a 3bet. I think it is a line that deserves a 2nd thought.

Honestly against this idiot i might raise his turn bet.

1. You cant fold the flop here with 2 overcards

2. I rarely raise the turn here, against this type of opponent.

3. I fold the river.

Villain is a pretty big postflop LAG. I wouldn't expect to win UI, but based on just a stats read, I think the river call is all right.

The K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] makes it easy for you to get to the river, and once you're there, I think calling against this guy is okay. He'll have 98 or 86 or just UI junk sometimes, right?

It does help, of course, if in addition to stats, you've seen this play a few times from Villain before and have some idea what hands/flops Villain checkraises with HU versus a PFR.

get to the river cheaper :

3-bet the flop and check a big bet street.

this guy is a certified maniac.

The potential drawback I see to this is that Villain may not obligingly slow down and let us get to the river cheaper.

Sorry for the simple question- is his 1.5 AF what leads us to label him a LAG?

Only because he also has a 64 VP$IP.

A 1.5 AF is quite aggressive for a 64 VP$IP. Villain frequently has very little since he's playing a lot of trash hands, and yet he's still finding a lot of bets and raises.
