Default Sufficient stack size in PLO

On Stars, where I've been playing, you can only buy in for 100 BB, but I find that you can often run out of stack-depth--at least sufficiently frequently to make it bothersome at times.

At the casino where I sometimes play, however, there is no maximum buy-in in both the 1/2 and the 2/5 PLO games (quite aside from the rare occasions when they spread bigger games still).

So, my question is: What do other feel is generally the minimal sufficient stack-depth to play all streets? 200BB?

I guess it also depends on how much raising is done. If every pot is raised to 4-5BB, then 400-500 BB probably isn't so bad, if one can afford it.

Or I guess another way to put it: Given no buy-in limit, at what stack-depth do you feel like you're not at any significant disadvantage due to stack-sizes? Only when you have the biggest stack at the table?

I think small stack (50-65bb), normal stack (100-150bb) and big stack (175-400bb) have significant differences to preflop calling standards and post-flop play. I don't play enough hours to build up a big stack, so normal stack is the game I'm used to. If I had a choice, I would always play with 200bb.

many people constantly reload to stay at or above 100BB until they win a pot and go over that...

i dont feel a need to do that, but maybe this could be a solution?

On stars you can rebuy in the middle of a hand if you are all-in, so if you are running out of depth, get in the habit of doing that when you can.

There is an auto rebuy option in the options menu. I guess it will autorebuy for you between hands, when you drop below maximum.

At b2b network the maximum buy-in at 0,50/1 and above is 200bb.

Personally I'm pretty much like JoeWatch. I don't play enough hours in a row to really get a big stack, so most often it's just maximum buy-in for me. But I guess I wouldn't mind having the maxlimit at 200bb everywhere, but mostly I would like the lower limit to be raised to at least 60bb or so.

Nah, it doesn't work that way. It automatically buys you in for the minimum.

Yeah it's super lame and I didn't know about it recently until I tried it and found myself sitting at a table with 20BB.
