Re: Down to 13 on $55K rebuy. Insta push here?
Is this really that obvious? At this point in the tournament, people are dropping left and right. Why give 6 people a chance to have a better hand than you with that many chips?
Blinds go through you, and you have 220K left, which is more than enough to have lots of FE. Not to mention that if you really do have a real hand and can either push into someones raise, or someone calls your push, you are back up to around 500k just like that. If you had 150K or less, and the blinds were about to take you into 0 FE territory, then I think this is a good push. But with your stack, this seems a bit too much like Russian Roulette. I'll be the dissenting opinion, and say fold. Nick |

Re: Down to 13 on $55K rebuy. Insta push here?
Play is not wrong - but I would have waited for a better spot.
UTG - so 6 players have a chance to find a hand after u act. The big stacks and the short stack button will probably call with pairs above 6, plus AK,AQ,AJ and KQ and maybe some larger suited connectors. I guestimate u are about a 65% chance of geting a call and say a 35/65 dog if called - So 35% of the time u pick up the blinds - roughly $70k 23% of the time u double up - roughly $360K 42% of the time u lose your stack - -$290k According to my maths that makes it a -ev play. I would wait wait - I can see pocket JJ's in two hands!! |
