NJ Shorehouse Season Rentals - Rental amount public record?
Hello, I'm in on a shorehouse with about 15-20 people. There are full shares, half shares, quarter shares etc
Doing the math of the money per person, it really seems as if the amount is too high. (From asking other people who know about the rental prices). Think there may be some excessive skimming/subsidizing from those at the top. May be silly ...but my question is this: Is the lease agreement public record? Can I go somewhere or call someone and know exactly how find out how much the rental agreement was made for? Or would trying to get in touch with the landlord be the only way to find out? tks |

I can't think of any reason a lease would be public. Call the landlord, unless he's in on it, he has no reason to lie. You could also pretend you're interested in renting next year or something and get a good ballpark.
