home game, 8-handed, .25/50 blinds, $20 buyin (ya)
Hero is dealt: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the button Preflop: 2 limpers Hero limps on button Flop: ($2) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villain (MP) bets $1.50 fold, fold Hero ??? Note: MP villain is a bad LAG. Also, behind me, i'm about 90% sure that the big blind is going to at least call here (though I can't rule out a raise). He is passive though, so a call is much more likely. Do you ever call here, since you hit top pair and have a good chance of catching an extra spade to help on the turn? Or just fold and get out of the way with more to act behind you... |

Does everyone have $20 here? What a terrible structure ...
I'd just fold here. The better may be LAGtastic, but he did bet out into four opponents on an extremely dry flop. Even LAGs generally have something here. Doesn't look like a great spot to get involved. |

Ya, everyone had around $20 as it was early in the night. I despise the structure, but people refuse to change it.
Noone wants to buy in for $50, and noone wants .10/25 blinds because they are "too small". Buying in for more doesn't help me if the effective stacks are all $20. Retarded. |

Raise or fold preflop, though mixing it up preflop can be OK sometimes, you have mentioned here that it is still quite early in the evening, no reason to mess around with such a marginal hand.
As played I call the flop. |

Heh. I used to play in a home game about a year ago with the same structure. Though changing it really never came up, I didn't realize until later how retarded it was.
I'd lay it down here on the flop btw. You're more liable to get yourself into trouble here than anything else unless you think strongly that you can steal it on the turn UI. |

I don't see how you can justify calling pf w 40BB back, and then folding TP on the flop s easily.
