I have been playing limit (mostly 1/2 and 2/4) for about a year now, with only a little NL thrown in. I used to play NL constantly but felt my wins were much more consistent in Limit. I have slowed down a bit in Limit and seem to be getting bored. I have played a bit more NL in the past week or two. I am having more fun and winning a decent amount with a semi-loose/cautious agression kind of approach. Although I believe I am a better Limit player than NL player, would it be better for me game to play NL for a while? I am definately bored with Limit right now and I seem to be much more focused in NL cash games and SNGs. Any tips on staying sharp in both games?? I would love to be able to switch up my games when I need to, but I don't want to play NL for a while and return to Limit feeling like I've lost some of my edge.

Do what makes you happy! If you can beat NL and its more fun play it for a while. I switch between SNGs, NL, and limit depending on what I feel like, I'm best at SNGs but sometimes you gotta switch it up. You're not going to "lose your edge" by playing NL.

Play what you think is most fun.

If you're a newbie, I think it's best to get one style down before playing another. There's a lot of differences due to pot odds and implied odds in limit versus no limit, so it could mess up your bottom line real quick if you don't get the differences nailed down right away. IMHO, you should learn to play one way for about a year before branching out.
