Re: PP 100/200 hand SB vs. CO limper
Barron, thanks for the thoughts. I'm still relatively inexperienced at limit, so I'm trying to soak in all the advice I can get.

Re: PP 100/200 hand SB vs. CO limper
[ QUOTE ]
Results of hand: I actually didn't play it how I advised here. I called on the flop, then check raised the turn. He re raised me after my check raise. I called and then check/called the river. He had KK and took it down. [/ QUOTE ] Villain seems like a real winner... I think checking the turn is the worst line, since when you're beat it costs you an extra bet (3 OTT and 1 OTR) as opposed to leading out if you get raised it's 2 OTT and 1 OTR. This is obvious, don't even know why I'm posting. Just wanted to say Barron's explination is pretty spot on, very nice hand sir. |

I just think betting the turn has so many more advantages. |

But we already established that the line you stated is the best line, see Barron's post. |

Re: PP 100/200 hand SB vs. CO limper
[ QUOTE ]
Is calling and leading the turn bad? I'm pretty sure you want at least 1 bet to go in on each street, and if he checked the turn behind that would be pretty bad. Assuming you whiff the turn c/r and the river blanks, is this a good spot for a river c/r? I think not, but I'd like to throw it out there. [/ QUOTE ] Against donks, if I want to lead the turn, then I might as well 3 bet the flop. |

Re: PP 100/200 hand SB vs. CO limper
I'm raising pre-flop. I also would 3-bet the flop and lead the turn. There are enough draws on that board that my opponent could be raising that I don't want to give a free card on the turn. If the board was something like K-8-3 rainbow, then I'd just call the flop raise with the intention of check-raising the turn.
