Default Are we being outplayed?

Bush clearly blinked when he had Condi say that we are ready to have direct talks with Iran.

Now he is offering this:
[ QUOTE ]
One diplomat in Vienna described the U.S. offer of nuclear technology as particularly significant because it would, in effect, loosen a decades-long American embargo on giving Iran access to "dual use" technologies — equipment with both civilian and military use.

[/ QUOTE ]

There have also been reports that for technical reason this is a good time for Iran to slow down the process and consolidate the technology project.

Coupled with miscues by the US (Cheney criticising Russia, Bush snubbing CHina) prior to the sec council meetings, and Iran's ability to move the technology forward apace.

I fear we are being outplayed.
