Re: 1/2 Balsy play, no I am not on tilt.
[ QUOTE ]
but a pot-sized bet would be 2x as large as your bet, right? The pot is 20, he bet 6, so with your call that makes it 32. So to raise the pot you are making it $38, correct? And a $38 bet, rather than $16 could very well make a difference in future hands. Or do I misunderstand pot-sized bet/ misunderstand the hand history? [/ QUOTE ] Pot size at the time of my action is 26 with 6 of those dollars uncalled. TTT any other suggestions |

Re: 1/2 Balsy play, no I am not on tilt.
This flop line looks soo much like a set or J10. Only way I would be more sure about it was if I had raised more the first time around on the flop.

B3BAI on flop, your equity is way over 50% here.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes I agree his line does suggest j10 obv whatever he has it has me beat at the moment but I have the better drawing hand and a push might make him think I am protecting my set on this scary board. |

Re: 1/2 Balsy play, no I am not on tilt.
If you can predict villain will only bet 1/2PSB on the turn, the flop call is probably better than the flop all in. However, to get the value you need to just call the turn (unless you have a read that you have an extraordinary amount of FE on either street).

And to raise pot you raise that 32 over the 6 you have to call = 38, so your $15 bet is quite small really. A larger bet would either have slowed villain down or get you all in easier on the flop I think |
