A10 6max NL50
In hindsight I think I should have value bet the river. I say this because, after thinking about it, the villain was a passive player. (I had only sat down - about 20 hands into it).
But, quite often when in situations like this I do simply check the river. I fear that opponent might have caught his kicker and don’t want the ol’ check raise put on me. Thoughts about this hand (and for future reference) some general thoughts about the river play? Re: A10 6max NL50
If he's a passive player, your play is pretty good. I'd rather bet turn, check behind river against those types of players, because they often don't bet the river. If he's more of a normalish player, I'd often check behind turn, call/bet river, as that gets more value from more hands. Mixing up those two lines is very effective metagame-wise.
