Bet..or check raise the river?
$1/$2NL..6 max
I limp 99 UTG . Button raises to $8. BB calls and I call. $210 effective stacks Button is 26 / 8. Plays badly post flop and is getting hammered after 1000 hands. No read on BB Pot $25 Flop 9s 3s 3h... BB checks, I check, button checks. Pot $25. Turn Ad . BB checks, I bet $14, button calls. BB folds. Pot $53. River 8s. I check looking to check raise all in. Im 100% sure the button has an A and will bet the river. Likey? Or do you prefer to lead the river? |

Re: Bet..or check raise the river?
i prefer to lead the river b/c i think you won't get enough value by checkraising as you will as if you lead (b/c an A will fold to a c/r). i think it is better to lead and get raised by a flush or a 3

Re: Bet..or check raise the river?
I would lead because he thinks you have an A also. He is not going to bet unless he likes his kicker a lot.

Re: Bet..or check raise the river?
River brought the flush which may scare him off - he's not calling a check-raise, so why not control the betting by throwing in a full pot bet.

Re: Bet..or check raise the river?
bet more on turn.
lead river is better: - if his A was any good, he'd probably raise the turn. (so he may check behind the river anyhow) - he may have AsXs, since he just called the turn. If so, leading into his flush = hopping on the gravy train. |

Re: Bet..or check raise the river?
Bet more on the turn. I'd pot it. If they don't have an Ace or 3 on the turn, they'll fold to any bet. You want to get the most value against these two possible holdings, so pot it.
