For me, horror begins and ends with "Coven".

Polanski's 'The Apartment'

The Tenant, not The Apartment. The Apartment was with Jack Lemmon and Shirley Maclaine.

Sorry about that. Brilliant, brilliant film no matter what it was called. Loved the crawling back in the building and up the stairs to do it all over again scene. Been awhile since I saw it though.

I loved it too, really intense and disturbing. So much so that though I bought it last year, I still haven't taken the shrink wrap off. It's one of those movies you have to be in the mood for, kind of like Schindler's List or Jacob's Ladder, or you will bum yourself out.

I love the bit with finding his own tooth in the wall, too. Jeez that was creepy. Creepy creepy creepy.

Isabel Adjani was soooo hot, too.

Also, I agree with dcasper70 that you should have Evil Dead II on there. You should put that instead of the original Evil Dead. It's clearly the better of the two.

Not even close to true. As close to 100% wrong as it's possible to get. Resoundingly wrong.

I knew we'd hear from you on this. I remember discussing these two w/ you when i first started posting on OOT.

Nice work. My only hope is that Blair Witch Project get eliminated quickly and with extreme prejudice.

No Shaun of the Dead or Army of Darkness. To me these are spoofs on horror movies, not actual comedic horror movies (like Scream etc.)

Given the competition, we have to hope this is the case. But I'm the guy who thought Unforgiven should get an early exit from the Western poll, so what do I know.

Captain Obvious states:

Best film here: The Fly
Scariest: Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Winnah cos the kids will outweigh all: 28 days later or The Ring or something recent that shouldn't win

Swede, I don't want to be too much of a pain, but how about replacing the 1931 "Dracula" with Hammer Film's "Horror Of Dracula" with Christopher Lee? That's a better film with a better chance.
