Try going a week without it. See how you feel. If you can't make it, you might just have yourself a little addiction. Better than crack, sure, but it can still affect your relationships/social skills.

It's pretty clear you're going to get a biased sample on this forum :]

If it doesn't harm other areas of your life that you place value in, does it matter? Most people waste time on something or other that's pointless - crappy gossip magazines, TV, going to live sporting events, whatever.

Of course, every one of those people can justify what they do, and we can justify reading these kinds of places with "it helps my poker", but we know that's an excuse 90% of the time.

People are social to one extent or another, and areas of forums like this are just an expression of that.
