Video card for Dell 2001FP?
Hey folks,
I want to be able to 8table 6-max NL Cashgames without overlap. It seems most people use two Dell2001FPs. I have some questions, what I have to buy to make this work. The one person who picks my final "ingredients" will get 10$ from me. a) Are two Dell 2001FP best for 8tabling or should I go for a single, bigger monitor? b) It seems for two Dells to work, I need to change my video card. At the moment I have: - nVidia Gefore FX 5200, video card: ASUS V9520 Magic Motherboard: - ASUS A7N8X 2.0 Motherboard chipset: nVidia nForce2 Ultra400 Motherboard slots: 5x PCI, 1x AGP 3.0 As you can probably see, I dont have any idea what this stuf f means. Do I need a new video card, I read something about Dual-DVI stuff? Will it work with my motherboard? I want the parts to be not too expensive, because I only use my computer for Poker. No gaming, no videos etc... |

Re: Video card for Dell 2001FP?
You don't need dual-DVI. As long as your graphics card has two outputs (1 DVI and 1 analogue) you will be OK. If you are on XP, extending your desktop to two monitors is simple (it was discussed on a recent thread).
From what I have read, getting a bigger monitor to allow 8-tabling will be hugely expensive and require a high end graphics card. PS. I have just taken delivery of a 2001FP today. can't wait to get home! |

Do you have a PCI-E slot on your computer?
I use the Radeon X600 256MB of Ram which is a PCI-E card that allows me to use a dual moniter set up. It also has all the other goodies to it, like Audio/Video Input and output. |
