How do i play it?
I am relativly new to no limit hold'em, so excuse me if this question seems basic. I had a situation come up in a tournament that i needed to ask about.
Down to 2 tables in a no limit tournament. Blinds are 400-800 and my stack is 7,800. I have just moved to this table, so i know nothing about the players. First player to act calls BB. Everyone folds to button, who raises to 2,000. I am in small blind and look down at A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]-K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. What is the right move here, when i know nothing about the players at the table? |

Re: How do i play it?
Welcome to the forums. I have some questions relating to the hand but i'd probably raise all-in in this situation. how many places pay? are you in the money yet?, on the bubble? and how many chips do the caller and the raiser have?
Caller (400) Button (2000) You (400 in already) 7800 behind? BB (800) Calling only leaves you with 5800 which is 7.25 BB's- not that much considering the flop might not be great for your hand (Q 9 2) and you want to see all the cards. the best move is to raise all in. if he's on a steal you'll take the pot and he'll call also with worse aces. |

Re: How do i play it?
Pretty standard...But I like to get all my chips in the middle w/ AK. It's one of my favorite hands and I don't mind going to the felt w/ it.
