Single For Life?
In my 401K post that is a sticky in the finance forum I stated that I don't want to get married becuase I do not think I should ever have to pay some woman to get the hell out of my house when I think it is the time now that she should leave.
I also do not want kids, a dog is more than enough and obedience training is cheaper than college, and they don't ask for money, and they don't cause my car insurance to go up. So has anyone here made this consience decision to live the bachalor life until they die? Humphrey |

Re: Single For Life?
I imagine it'd be fun until about 40.. think of being 65 - bachelor life doesn't seem quite so much fun in the long term.

Re: Single For Life?
"conscious decision" is a loaded term.

Re: Single For Life?
1) Prenup
2) Vasectomy 3) Your car insurance should actually be cheaper 4) All women dont ask for money, in fact some work these days. And in some cases, they actually make more then men.... Who would have thunk it? |

I suspect that I have made this decision inadvertently.

Re: Single For Life?
I never met anyone who took a "vow of celibacy" who weighed less than 400 lbs.
All of the "sworn bachelors" I've known, couldn't get a date if their lives depended upon it. YMMV. |

He didn't mention a vow of celibacy. He said no marriage.
I'm happily married though. |

Re: Single For Life?
I am 28 and have been living it up for 10 years. Being single is awsome as hell. I love it if I could be 28 forever...... well maybe.
I am not old by any means but I am old enough to know I am not 18 any more. The older you get the more you relize how much you want someone there with you and I dont mean some drunk buddies. |
