Either way, you caught lucky on the flop but then blew it IMO by raising on the cheap street. You scare 2 potential callers away, plus if you flat call there he will probably bet out the turn.

You are taking a chance he won't catch on the turn, but if he does then you are still looking at half and you might have kept other callers in.

intention was to squeeze more bets out of the table now
that I know 3 As are out...this table would call 25 bets
back to them with, you know, four cards.

My question is: why not jam the pot when you know
someone has AA, you have A2Wx and you have
everyone calling? And, is laying in the weeds better until
the turn?

Jamming PF, given your hand and what you know, is not bad. You are hoping to get the flop you got.

Now that you got the ideal flop, you want to get the most money you can from it, and jamming this flop is not the best way to do that.

I would have called, you want to build the pot on this round, but you also want to tie as many people to it as you can. Showing a little weakness now will help do that. Raising will usually cause them to start looking for an excuse to leave.

I think raising this flop is pretty good since many people will drop weak fd:s in this situation. If the nut flush draw is out, of course it will stay, but at least it will pay to draw. And the times the nut flush draw is not out and his raise caused weaker flush draws to fold - sweet.
