$6 Party - Play fast or wimp out with ATo?
Hello All,
I'm not sure what I was thinking pre-flop, but I can't decide whether this flop is good enough to risk my whole stack on. Any advice? PartyPoker Regular Tournament, Big Blind is t40 (9 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com UTG (t1513) UTG+1 (t4166) Hero (t1740) MP2 (t2500) MP3 (t1840) CO (t3662) Button (t1190) SB (t359) BB (t2930) Preflop: Hero is in MP1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG calls t40, UTG+1 raises to t125, Hero calls t125, MP2 calls t125, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB raises to t339, BB folds, UTG calls t319, UTG+1 calls t234, Hero calls t234, MP2 calls t234 Flop: (t1775) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players) UTG checks, UTG+1 bets t697, Hero ??? Also, this hand is from a 3-table SNG. Am I violating the STTF charter? These play more like one-table tournaments than large multi-table ones. Thanks! |

Call pre-flop is awful. Both of them.

Well normally I would say to fold after the re-raise....but you're getting about 5-1 odds, 6-1 once the guy behind you calls. First of all, what did the SB do post flop? He checked too? In a situation like this when I call strictly for pot-odds (which hopefully was the only reason you called here), I need to flop at least two pair to even think about continuing. Here you have the original raiser, who called a re-raise, betting at the pot. I might even be more afraid of the UTG player who called t40, then called the re-raise cold. He's either a complete idiot, or holding aces. This is an easy fold IMO.

Yeah..I wasn't even thinking about the original raise. Calling an EP raise with A10 with a limper already in the pot is not a good idea. Fold it from the get go.

What they said... dump that pre-flop to the raise. Gotta understand the gap concept.

Did SB check the flop I'm assuming?

Thanks guys. The SB went all-in pre-flop. I found the post-flop play so interesting that I completely missed how much of a donkey I was before the flop.
