KK on unusual flop
I think I should've raised more preflop first of all. On the flop, I figured a push would get an Ace without a decent heart to fold, and if I do get called I can catch a heart for the nuts. MP1 was running 38/2 after 40 hands. Thoughts?

Re: KK on unusual flop
c/r ai would be a better line than the one you chose to maximize FE. Why you'd want to put your stack in the middle as a dog like this, idk.

Re: KK on unusual flop
you really need to raise more pf and fyi villain most likely has a set or a flush, not Ax.

Re: KK on unusual flop
I would raise a little more preflop. A check raise gives you the best chance for a fold. villain may have a flush since he does not raise too much. I dont think the price is right for you to make the third raise. Your gonna get called and are behind.

Re: KK on unusual flop
Looks like he either has a big ace, or QQ/JJ, with one of them of hearts
I'd make the same play |

Re: KK on unusual flop
villain limped pf, I'd bet 1/2 my roll he doesn't have qq/jj (and I'd almost do the same for AK/AQ).

Re: KK on unusual flop
Yup, he clearly has 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and you are drawing dead.

Re: KK on unusual flop
Yeah, he doesn't have QQ/JJ here very often. 10% air factor would include those hands. He's got Ax, set, flush here 90% of the time. Which makes Hero at the minimum a 60/40 dog.

Re: KK on unusual flop
Thanks for all the replies. I'm so used to leading the flop, but I see that checking was my best action here.
For this specific hand he wasn't going to fold. He did have a set, AA. Turn bricked and river gave him a boat for good measure. |
