GSN I think.
I DVR the show. I feel it was "ok" but because I could fast forward to the hands.
That girl was driven me nuts, because she couldn't handle her chip!
Did she play well or just so tight, she out lasted the others. She did seem to get many playable hands, and she did push hard preflop when she did.

Booooring...another show where the announcers do their best to drive people away. Barry Tomkins may be the worst announcer out there and his partner - Koenig? - is almost as bad. Neither of them have anything to say and no insight as to how someone is playing the hand.

i love how no matter what, the elitist prick wannabe pros around here will find something to whine about.

Making good poker decisions and trying to get reads takes time, much more than 15 seconds. This format is garbage poker.

For 99.9% of poker decisions the analysis in your post is garbage. People taking minutes to agonize over straight-forward decisions is one of the reasons I hate playing live.

I haven't seen it yet.

But I'm pretty sure the poker-dome show is on Fox Sports net.

They built a special enclosed dome in vegas just for these poker tournaments.
Live audience is supposed to be outside the enclosure I guess.

This way, they can show it 'live' with all the hole-cards of all the players.

They have a clock on the players. Tey are showing every hand and aren't editing any of them.

Is all of this stuff correct.
I'm just guessing based on what I read about this upcoming program from a couple of months ago.

I agree that it's annoying that nobody is answering any of the Q's regarding the details of this show....so I thought I'd take my stab at what I THINK it is.

amen, brother. I really don't understand these people who take minutes to think about it. Studying for reads? I can give you 12 conflicting signals in 30 seconds.

The first few tournaments are being held at the Tropicana, as they're still constructing the PokerDome in Downtown Vegas. For those with FSN (at least those with FSN NY), they air the show again Wednesdays at 3pm ET.

If they could combine the Poker Superstars III lineup with the Speed Poker concept, it'd make for better TV.

let me correct this, if they could combine the pokerstars I lineup (and add hellmuth), and remove the 15 second rule, now that would make great tv.

There's another thread on pokerdome where I answer some of these questions. I'd retype, but I'm lazy. In short, they did edit out some of the hands for broadcast (including me winning with AK with a preflop pot raise, and another hand with an indecipherable AQ fold to a raise pre-flop by the guy to my right). The live audience did get to see everything, though, provided they stayed through the four hours of taping.

Part of the problem is that with the chipstacks as small as they are (25BB to start), there's no guarantee they actually will get enough play to fill out an entire show. Our game ended in the middle of the third round (read: 50 minutes of play time), and they still edited hands out.
