Default Multi-Tabling is hard!

Maybe not for all of you, but for me, I just get a little confused and overwhelmed when I play more than 2 tables at a time. I would like to play at least three, to get a little higher hourly rate, but sometimes I feel like I don't play my best poker doing that. I have PokerTracker along with GameTime+, and they help a little. Does it take long to get used to the fast action and constant thinking of playing 3,4,5 tables? I've heard some people playing 8 tables and I just can't see that happening 4 me.

When you get comfortable playing 2 tables, add a third.
When you get comfortable playing 3 tables, add a fourth.
Rinse. Repeat.

There's no secret method. Just get comfy with what you got, and then add one.

here's something that helped me on party: get a nice monitor. 1280x1024 is probably minimum - 1600x1200 resolution or more is best. a dream setup would be a set of 30" cinematic display. the table tile mode on party poker is a godsend. tile them 4 to a screen, then with the players on the corners so the four players are in the center of the screen. on full tilt, this is easier because of the cool rotisserie feature.

too bad online poker is gonna be a felony in WA state in 4 days...

this is pretty much all there is to it. At some point you will reach a level of diminishing returns, and that point is different for every person. Its also not only depenendant on hwo fast you can keep up with stuff, but also on your poker skill level. But I dont think there is anyone whos good at the game and under 50 that couldnt at least 4 table.

Also, a really nice monitor helps. And cutting out other distractions is wise too.

Along with the oter posts are correct - just build yourself up slowly - don't rush.

When I went to 2 tables it atually helped my game. You MUST have 1600x1200 on your ocmputer though.

Why must you? Party has resizeable tables... other sites have miniview, etc... 1600x1200 is no longer a MUST, IMO.

My hardest transition was from three tables to four; at that point, I had trouble accessing my desktop.

Here's a question.

Is the OP playing full ring or 6max? That changes everything.

I can 10 table full ring, but only stay comfortable 4 tabling 6max.

It's too hard for me to see my GameTime+ stats on the table when I tile the tables in corners at Party.
