Player is 30/10/5.5 after about 100 hands

Final Pot: 15.66 BB Normally, I would have folded to the turn raise, or even c/f the turn, but he had an AF of 5. Was I wrong to call? I really feel I played like a total donk. Please confirm my thoughts so I never do this again. |

With an aggression factor of 5.5 the turn is an easy call. In fact, it is possible that 3-betting the turn is correct.

i think that 3betting would be pretty bad... |

Isn't an AF of 5.5 pretty close to maniac?

AF of 5.5 is very aggressive, but its a maniac for a player that is 60/4 moreso than it is for a player that is 30/10...

he is very aggressive so i'm 50/50 whether i myself would fold/call... this is where a more substantive of a read would help, how he plays top pair hands etc... his flat check-call on the flop has me suspicious... what is he going for overcalls w/ here that he didn't raise from mp1 preflop first in with a pfr% of 10 and an AF of 5???
looks more like a straight w/6-7, or semi-bluff with the flush draw to me (possibly the ace with the flush draw)... which got there on the river... it's an ugly hand... unfortunately i think i play the same way given the numbers on villain... although i think releasing on the turn is the correct decision getting 8.6 to 1... (edit: if i had notes on villain that he is extremely tricky and will make plays like this on the pre-flop raiser etc... i think a call down could be in order) as played, i can't fault you for your river raise/call... his AF complicates things once again... very interesting hand, i'm gonna be interested in reading other's posts... |

it's over 100 hands as well which while will provide a somewhat reliable sense of their play is not 100% reliable... he could be running very good, and hitting flops, warranting the 5.5... i know i've had stretches with similar numbers because of that...
3-bet=bad IMO... if you decide to call him down because he's a maniac, i do exactly that, call him down... let him bet the hand for me... |

High AF does not mean he makes plays at pots but rather he plays hands aggessivly when he has a made hand and tends to fold hands that are not made. Use his aggression against him when you know you have him beat. |
