I've played against Alan numerous times, and he's probably one of the most (if not the most) frustrating opponents I've ever faced...

I think generally this is one of the higher compliments you can get in poker. If I ever feel this way about a particular oponent, I take a long hard look at their game to see if there's something worth emulating, even if at first I just think they suck in an annoying way. I usually end up finding something worthwhile.

I agree with Boris, 2+2 would be a better place without the troll smoothcall.

Alan Goering,

I don't think anyone discussing with you is lefthanded. They just don't get it.

Alan:

When highly successful pros take the time to post here, a handful of 2+2ers deliberately attempt to provoke them. I saw it happen with Tood Brunson. And now with you.

Like Tood, I'm sure you'll get sick of defending your play and responding to the idiots and you'll eventually fade away.

But at least we'll always have Smoothcall's insightful posts!!

Hi Alan, I can't believe all the dopes on this thread. From what I can tell, your style builds better pots with some calculated risk. A successful tournament strategy. I'm feel bad there are so many negative comments and I get too much out of 2+2 to boycott.

I started reading this thread again today. I remembered I posted in it a few days ago but couldn't remember what I said. I read a couple of pages to find out what the problem was with Goering, then I try to find my post and I found it on page 1 (3rd post)

that is when I compared Goering's play with Hellmuth's! I just realized I started this whole mess!

oops!
