Default (AA) Kings full of Aces

From memory. Party 2/4. Villain was loose, but I didn't have a good read on aggression. Comments on turn and river appreciated.

Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in CO

Folded to Hero who raises, BB calls

Flop:
K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls

Turn:
K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB bets, Hero calls

River:
K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

BB bets...

Can hero raise here since BB is now so unlikely to hold the one remaining K or does he have to just call?

I don't see what else he could be bettting other than AJ. I just call.

Yup. Villian's is a classic donk line with a Q, T, or even a jack. F him up. Cry and call if he 3-bets.

I think it's a raise, and call a reraise. What does villain's turn donk mean?

It means he wants to bet/3bet AJ or J9 against hero's AK. I agree with the raise the river and call a 3-bet line.

You've never seen a BB donk the most absurd crap? They'll donk jacks, queens, tens, sometimes a K, sometimes a straight. But they usually slowplay a straight and would c/r the turn with a K.

I can already see my transition to 6-max is going to be intense... 4 posts already, I post the exact opposite of everyone else.

if you just call, he will have a Q

if you raise, he will 3-bet and have a K

either way you = sad

fwiw this is a good hand to check out in terms of consistency.

on the turn your call means something. like, you're ahead x% and the pot is y bets so you call intending to call the river. then the river cuts his better holdings down by 1/2 and also puts you ahead of an oddly played straight (but does this call a raise?).

so you just do the math, give him a range, figure it out.

my intuition is that if calling the turn is the correct play, this river card does not affect his range enough to warrant a raise. if a river raise is correct, a turn raise would likely have been the correct play.

the funny thing about your first post:

"he can only be betting a hand we beat. so just call."

in other words, we beat AJ. but more importantly, he has AJ ~never.

I'm not sure if your intuition covers the fact that BB likely sucks. I don't feel all that bad when I call the 3bet to be honest. I think a straight calls a raise all day at 2/4.
