Parallel Printer Question

So I bought a new desktop this week, and when I went to hook up my HP all-in-one printer, I noticed that there was no parallel port. I didnt realize that they didnt make computers without parallel ports anymore, so I didnt even think to try to configure the desktop to have one added. Its an older printer/scanner/fax/copier (about 3 years old), but it still works well and I have a bunch of ink cartridges for it, so I hate to get a new one at this point.

Does anyone know if I can use a parallel to USB adapter/cable? I tried looking on HP's website, but I couldnt find anything related to my printer. I thought I had read somewhere that using this type of connection could reduce the functionality of the device.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can, but they are clunky, slow, and generally terrible devices.

It'll be easier to add a parallel port to your computer. Should be $10-15.
