Default Set a desktop up for wireless?

I am considering getting a desktop over a notebook for my new computer (thanks SamIam for your help in the other thread.) Problem is I have a wireless network set up at my place and the cable modem/router, etc. is not in the room where the desktop will be. Will I have to run a cable all the way accross the house, or is there some sort of thingy I can plug the desktop into so it can receive the internet connection wirelessly? I assume desktops never come equipped with WIFI capabilities.

Thanks.

they don't come equiped (usually, I had an Asus Motherboard that had it built in) but you can definately get a PCI or USB wireless adapter for not too much.
