Default live 1/2 what would you do?

Live 1/2 NL game at local casino. Ring game is 10 handed

3 important players

EP ($60)
MP ($250)
Hero (LP $400)

EP is on tilt and the whole table knows it. He is on his 3rd rebuy within the hour!

MP is a somewhat experienced player but i don't know his playing style.

Hero is Dealt AhKh

EP raises to $7
MP reraises to $15
Hero calls
EP calls

Flop: Ac Jd 8h (Pot ~$50)

EP is all-in for $45
MP calls $45

Hero ?

if mp will fold ak here then you should push all-in. if not, just call and see how he reacts to the turn card. doesn't sound like he'd fold AK though, so I'd probably just call.

all in then. if you flat call he's not betting again with KK/QQ/TT and you might be able to fold him out of a split pot.

I strongly disagree. There are a lot of hands he can have with a smooth call here that you will double him up with. he could have set of eights or jacks, he could have ace jack for two pair. Any of these hands smooth calls to suck you into a sidepot on the turn (or on the flop if you are reckless enough) if you just have a pair of aces, and are consistent with his preflop play.

I would minimum reraise on the flop to find out where you are. If he goes over the top you can fold, if he just calls then you probably have him beat. if he has a pocket pair or weaker ace you might be able to extract a value bet on the turn.

But to push all in on the flop for another $200 odd when you have no idea where you stand is crazy IMO.
