4/8 AK whiff in family pot at Caesars Vegas
I am in the BB with A :club: K . The other eight players at the table limp. I raise, and everyone calls.
Flop 9-way (18SB): 2 :spade: 7 :club: J  I bet and get one fold. Turn 8-way (13BB): 6  I check. Some more checks. CO bets. Button calls. SB folds. I...? -Andrew |

Re: 4/8 AK whiff in family pot at Caesars Vegas
Fold. Do you really think you are ahead of CO or Button? Nobody would bluff into 7 people, and the fact that someone called the raise shows he has at least something. The best you can hope for is spiking a A or K, but those aren't clean outs. Anyone with KJ, AJ, A7, K6, etc, will have you beat. Also, there are what, 4 people left to act. What if any one of those four are planning on c/r the turn? Do you really want to have to call 2 bets with just A high in a 8 way pot?

Re: 4/8 AK whiff in family pot at Caesars Vegas
I would call. U are getting great odds. I doubt someone is planning a CR because they can't trust someone to bet for them and there are plenty of draws. Call and fold river UI. If u improve, check and see what the action is. Seems like a good table to make some money.

Re: 4/8 AK whiff in family pot at Caesars Vegas
I usually just check the flop and consider to be on a draw in this pot. I know it sounds weak, but noone is going to fold a better hand. You raised pre-flop when you're hand was the favorite, if you miss the flop play it as any weak draw.

Call the turn.
Next time check the flop. Your not going to be able to buy the pot and your draw is fairly weak. |

Re: 4/8 AK whiff in family pot at Caesars Vegas
I would check the flop. No one who has you reversed dominated is folding, and there are really no draws that could come in at the same time you might hit an A or a K. Consequently, it is very unlikely that anyone who folds the flop would be able to beat you after you might turn or river a pair.
