Alright first of all I'd like to thank everyone in SSNL for their contributions... this forum has been helpful in getting me started at NL (up 8 buyins in 2.8k hands!). I'm normally a SNG player so I'm a little fishy with the deeper stacks.

I suppose I should have raised the flop to hopefully get 3-bet allin. My [probably] misguided line was to maybe keep a weaker jack in the pot or c/r from one of other 2 players. Given the probable flop mistake, was terrible to push the turn for 20 bucks more? A smaller raise would to me look like an obvious set. I suppose it's possible villain didn't even have the overpair or something as low as AJ. Anyway.. if anyone has any thoughts it would be much appreciated.

Also I should add that CO seemed pretty solid for this level.

Yep, raise the flop to $12 or so. You're either going to get action (from an overpair) or not, so might as well try to build a pot now. Plus your hand is not looking so good if a Q or 7 would fall

EDIT - typos

This is probably a stupid line, but can you call behind them on the turn again? Basically hoping they will bet again if a non-threatening card hits.

I guess that's better than as played. It could look like we're drawing and if checked to on the river, a big all-in bet could look like a missed draw bluff that just might get called by an overpair.

Re-raise preflop--you have a premium hand.

OP-

reraise pf.

raise the flop. We raise this flop because there are cards we do not want to see-- cards that either kill our action or beat us. We want the money in before one of those cards can hit. If somebody hit the flop, they'll pay you off, you don't have to get cute.
