Look for the Tigers to regress to the mean and end up third in the division.

[/ QUOTE ]

Care to make it interesting?

[/ QUOTE ]

no, because it's not a sure bet. second is more likely.

[/ QUOTE ]

bwahahahahaha

[/ QUOTE ]

laugh now, ching pao, but you don't know baseball.

if you're so sure then why don't you give me 2 to 1 that they don't finish in first? put your money where your mouth is.

actually, first is most likely.

[/ QUOTE ]

as jack said, that rotation is really overrated and when it regresses then the offense will not be enough. I really think the White Sox win this division, probably pretty easily.

What were the odds that they'd have this record or better before the season? 1,000-1? Pretty amazing. Yeah, they've only played 2 games against the East so far, but it's still pretty amazing for a team that's been among the worst in MLB for quite some time. Good for them.

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't feel like going through a detailed analysis, but a quick run-through of the #s makes 250-1 seem a lot closer than 1000-1.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is why clarkmeister should consider staying out of baseball threads.

i guessed 150-1 and it's much closer to 250-1 than 1000 to 1 is. I'll also bet anyone even money that the Tigers don't finish in first.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sweet jesus you are an idiot. If I had instead said 1,000,000 to one instead of 1,000 to one would you still be whipping out a calculator? I suppose that if someone said before the season they had "no chance" of going to the playoffs, you'd have also said they, in fact, had some nonzero chance? LOL. You must suck at real life conversation.

So, in the other thread I am an idiot Red Sox homer, and now I am a probability expert because my guess is closer to yours than Clarkmeister's?

OK. I'll take his knowledge of baseball over your's any day, thank you.

I'm willing to bet they don't finish in 1st at even money.

[/ QUOTE ]

Me too. That would be a nice arb since they're about +250 to finish in first right now.

No need to get personal, but you must not be great at getting girls if you have to hit on girls online. i remember you hitting on 2p2 girls last year like gorie. isn't she a little young for you? you could probably be her father, old man.
