Re: NL100 - 99 my float gets c/r.
i haven't read all the responses to this thread but i basically think the flop call is good and the turn bet is generally bad.
if you're betting the turn, you should only be doing it for image purposes. better hands (including 1010, JJ) likely aren't folding and unimproved overs are probably folding. joyce, i don't mind giving a free card to a potential 6outter with just one to come. if the turn goes check, check and the river is an over, we shouldn't have a hard time figuring out where we stand. the pot is fairly small and not essential to protect. |

Re: NL100 - 99 my float gets c/r.
This was the first time I had floated the villan. We had only been playing about 50 or so hands. My image was probally a bit aggressive, but had not been defening blinds/floating much. I thought my turn bet would take down the pot more than 1/2 the time
Also, I had not seen villan pull a turn c/r yet, if i thought he would pull this with AQ or better i probally would have checked through. |

Any body care to give this question a shot.
[ QUOTE ] Can most players at this level lay down AQ, KQ, over pair, or a set on a 4 straight board given the action? [/ QUOTE ] If I know i can get a 1/2 pot bet when i hit the river, a call is +EV |

[ QUOTE ]
I guess I hate the thought of giving the free card then paying off a river bet if he hits a J/K/A. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think we're calling a river bet if a J/K/A hits. |
