Default New Laptop for Multi-tabling Questions

I'm about to purchase a new laptop for multi-tabling. I've been looking at this Dell e1705 thing for $1250 on fatwallet. A few questions:
1. If I want to add a 2nd monitor in the future, will this machine work for that? Do I need to upgrade to any specs to handle it?

2. Those of you who multi-table with 2 monitors...do you use the laptop monitor for one and an external monitor for the other? Or do you use two external monitors (is that even possible on a laptop)?

3. I'll be getting a bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse. Will I need any other accessories to get this set-up working?

4. Are there disadvantages to going this route as opposed to just getting a desktop?

Thanks!

Default Re: New Laptop for Multi-tabling Questions

1. The biggest requirement for adding a 2nd monitor is "Does it have a monitor port?". If it does (and it probably does) I expect you'll do fine.

2. You likely won't be able to have TWO external monitors, since you only have 1 port in the back.

3. Get one of those stress-balls for your desk. Oh! Or those metal hanging balls that clack together with perfectly elastic collisions. Those are cool.

4. You're paying more for the same power. Harddrives are often slower on laptops than on desktops. Otherwise, you'll probably be fine.
