Default small pp valuebet?

ulysses8 is 28/17/1.3 after 180 hands.
Went to SD 40%. At steals 31%.
I was thinking give up at first pf, but then changed my mind simce I had been folding alot in the sb.
BB is decent tag (blai87).

The flop is good, even though there is a big probability for overpair to be out.
I check with the intention of folding or raising depending on action.
When button calls I think its a good place to raise.
A fold might be similar valued.

The turn is perfect, but I'm getting a bit worried by button.
River. He's not folding a pp. I think he will bet all if I check. pp lower than 9s are a question though. I still cant decide. Bet fold or check call.

Definitely value bet this. A shame the river was a 7, as it may convince A hi to fold, but I'll give him the chance to look me up.

I think ulysses has two high spades, so I think you have the nuts on the river. Whether to bet or check depends on how likely he is to call with ace-high or how likely he is to bluff when checked to in this spot and also how likely he is to bluffraise in this spot.

I think this is touhger than usuall because if ulysses8's passiveness. I'm happy that you both reaffirmed the bet.
He called and won with 55. =(
I think you are dead on though. A high will call. All hands that I'm beat by will bet if I check. He wont bluffraise me on this board .

I'm not disagreeing with the value bet, but how can you say this passive player will bet all hands that beat you?

I seriously doubt he value bets his 5s here for instance.

Hmm...all came out wrong. But I think 55 is one out of VERY few he will check through. All is now most.
