Default Collusion? (stud8 $2-$4)

I was not involved in the hand below, but seat 5's actions seem indefensible to me -- he essentially bet seat 3's hand for him on every street.

You're playing a 2/4 fixed split game. People are just retarded.

The regulars on this site (I've seen seat 3 several times before, at least) are not this retarded. I don't see how someone can 3-bet on the river without a prayer of winning. Note that there is a substantial side pot, so even if his bet on 5th miraculously drove everyone out, he would still have to try to win the side pot with no pair and no low draw.

If they were colluding seat 3 would be jamming every street too. Looks like they both suck and one is a maniac.

Seat 5 is on ultra tilt or colluding, I agree nobody is that retarded under normal circumstances.

He might think he can fold the 3's (two pair, he probably thinks) to win the high part of the side pot. Assuming the 8 is a low, not a high.

After further thought, a non-collusion scenario is that seat 5 is a maniac, and seat 3 was worried that seat 5 had rolled-up Aces (since he capped 3rd). This would explain why the 888 didn't jam on 4th-6th. He raised when he filled up on the river, but didn't take the last raise (worried about Aces full).

This seems much more likely. If they were colluding, there is no way that they would miss the last raise on the river, as seat 3 isn't scared of seat 2s open threes. I think all you have here is a nutter who should be on your buddy list. In fact, I would think about adding all three of them to your buddy list - nobody really played the hand that well.

Seat three is a scared little girl. Seat five is a moron who thinks that you can bluff in a $2/4 game. If they are working together, I personally wouldn't do anything to discourage them.
