Meh, it's not like OP can fold if a draw hits anyway, the guy only has 70. It depends on your read of the guy. If he will take shots when you check then go for it. I like playing passively vs. shorties sometimes. The bad ones love to bluff when you show weakness.

Yes, I often check in these spots. It depends on if I have seen villain call of his stack with AJ on boards like this or not though. But when they are short and get checked to I find they move in a lot. I would either move in or check, betting less isn't an option IMO.

in this case he folded.

But i always bet this, cause they call with mid pairs / ace high etc. but i guess it comes down to reads. some reraise allin most flops, some will cower off. i guess my point was are we really worried abotu draws when its so short?

seems mixed respionse on that and i dont know if its make or break as a poker player, but something u see soo damn often at party.....

Bah you guys who play so ABC and fail to capitalize on the weakness' of your opponents suck.

If the shorty has an aggro factor of 3 or higher I check this almost 100% of the time. If he's fairly passive, I go ahead and bet.

It's not like shorty is going to check behind with a flush draw...
