Maybe instead of splitting it by limits, it should be split into 2 sub-categories.

1) Hand histories only
2) Theory / Ideas / General things

I haven't read the 150 or so posts after this one, but I think this is a great idea. Wonder how many of the 150 agree with me?

Theres already a "Beginners Forum" but I doubt it gets a lot of traffic given where its located. I would put a beginners hold'em forum near the general forum and see if that eleviates anything.

Bingo. You win the prize.

I've been pretty active in Beginners since, well, since I was a rank beginner, up to now when I'm merely a NLHE beginner. It's a nice vibe we've got - flaming frowned upon, fewer inside jokes - but not very high traffic. Let's move it up to... hell, let's move it to the top. Shouldn't it be the first forum a beginner sees?

Poker theory hosts probably the 2nd worst poker posts next to WPT etc.

Yeah, I'm aware of it, but that's not NLHE-specific, let alone SSNL. Occasionally there's something interesting in there.

That said, the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that 90% of this problem could be solved by moving Beginners to either above the Poker heading or to be the first entry under Poker. If beginners found their eponymous forum without having to scroll way down, they'd actually post there instead of here, and we'd all benefit.

I also think the interface should make first-time posters affirm that they've read the FAQ, but that would require permission to do some PHP hacking.

Wow and your a mod. You need to zip it back up kid. That statement just shows your lack of wisdom, e.v and knowledge of risk verses reward. Sad part is the last two I know you grasp but your ego overpowers your common sense. If you dont have anything to say beyond a junior high school retort about my original statement then were done.
If your older then 21 then you really have some problems.
