Default LLO8 - SB - Hi only hand...

Reads: What a table! Raising bare JJxx+;so I was confident I was not
up against KKxx, etc.

I am pretty sure the reason I was raised on the river was due to my
(admittedly retarded) OMG-they-have-a-straight-now-pause-b4-betting.

I am an O8 fish, so all marginally useful comments appreciated

If you are not a great O/8 player, you might want to consider mucking marginal hands in the SB. This is not a great hand at all, and I dont know if you have the discipline to back off on later streets.

You hit a decent flop, so I dont mind a bet. I would check-call this probably a 1/3 of the time, though.

The turn is standard, and I would have probably played the river the same.

how about a hand converter

other than that, I bring nothing to the table...looks standard to me.

and BD is right about the discipline with this hand. Knowing you, I'd think you'd be able to bail out if need be. Dumping pf would cetainly not be terrible...

..."admittedly retarded pause b/c they had a straight"

It looks to me like the pause may have done some good and got more action for your boat.

Are you saying you're retarded b/c you paused thinking the straight card beat you?

BD-good point thanks. These were terrible post-flop players, so
I felt that even though my O8 game is nascent, I could
outplay them with basic poker for 1/2 bet.

DC- I'll use the converter next time; also if the turn card
was a baby, yes I would have buried this hand.

7n7- AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I know very well that only an ACE-high straight beats a boat!

as for the "retarded pause" I didn't get my "hustler" title for nothing...

tyvm all
