Main villian (who is deepest) in this hand is gamblegamble (good, agressive, solid player. can change gears from tight to loose and plays well postflop.)

Final Pot: $3892

ok you guys are probably going to kill me for checking this flop but I felt that with so many callers and such a big pot that there is likely a better hand out there and even if that is not the case, my hand cannot take much heat so if someone DOES decide to semibluff with a draw I will have to fold.

i almost wanted to just fold to his flop bet since I really doubt he is betting a worse hand here but I felt that was way too weak.

on the turn, again, I almost folded but considered that it was likely that he also has AK. perhaps I shoulda tossed it there.

comments on all streets appreciated.

I lead flop and plan on folding to any action. People tend to play more straight forward in multiway raised pots so you probably won't be bluffed often.

As played I raise the turn to isolate the shorty. I make it 700 and if gamblegamble shoves I fold. I doubt he will slow play a monster any further as there are so many draws. He also won't shove a draw since he has to worry about the short stack in the main pot.

Also why did you call the turn raise and fold the river? Did the jack scare you? Were you planning on calling a shove if the river was the 2 of spades?

Since the short stack is allin he is not bluffing, you are gonna chop w/ AK or be up against two pair or a set. I almost always fold the turn to the raise, but i don't mind the passive flop and turn line because you really do not want to play a big pot w/ AK here.

I don't let it get to the river, gamblegamble is a bit of a spewer postflop imo, but has a very tight pf range which matches well with this board so the river is an insta-muck.

Ok, I get some crap for this, but nothing wrong with just folding the flop. When two guys shows this much interest, AK is usually not good. And yes, I have lost some big pots with AK in situations like this.

folding this flop might be too tight, but it's better than your weak/scared line. maybe raise flop to find out if you're behind for cheaper than you did by coldcalling turn raise only to check/fold river.

Grimm,

I would have raised the turn and folded to a push.

Bet 250 on flopp shutt down if u get action. With your reasoning u should checkfold the flopp i dont get the call play at all. If u do call flopp i would donk turn.

Yeah, especially with your turn action coming right after a short stack moves allin. If you raise him, and then someone else comes over the top, you can comfortably fold knowing that competent players are not going to make moves into a dry side pot.
