bang for buck it has to be a handle of reg. smirnoff vodka. comes in a plastic bottle, but for $20 you can't really beat the marginal utility of each shot.

it's miles above aristo ($10 a handle). it mixes with [censored] anything (ie girls drink it!!!).

do it.

Crown Royal and Jameson haven't been mentioned yet, these should both be in the whiskey discussion.

I'm more of a beer guy, but I do like a good quality...
- Vodka
- Rum
- Tequila

For mixed drinks, try variations of martinis, cosmos, and margaritas. Good stuff.

I like the taste of the drinks I listed, but usually only if they're mixed (although Chivas still tastes pretty good straight). If I'm taking straight shots, the taste isn't really a consideration: getting wasted is.

If I were going for tasty shots, QFs are good. 1/3 Kahlua, 1/3 Midori and 1/3 Baileys, which should be poured in that order, in distinct layers. There are some other nice shots I like, but I can't remember them for the moment.

Patron Silver Tequila. I've tried lots of others...but in that price range, there's nothing better (I like silver tequila better than anejo for some reason). If you want to splurge, buy a bottle of Patron Gran. All of this is if you have a taste for tequila specifically...most types of liquor are the same way. Some guys love scotch - but even nice scotch is wasted on me because I just don't have a taste for scotch period.

For tasty shots,
I go to a couple of places where the bartenders would 'buy' us shots (we tipped well)...

The best one was a 'Creamsicle'. Others included a 'ruby slipper' and 'rootbeer float'.

Also, anything made with Midori Melon Liquor is probably good.

FYI... Jaeger Bombs and Depth Charges are dangerous.
