Re: JJ multiway
*grunch*
Mid pocket pairs can be tough to play. They usually require good reads. I bet this flop against most opponents. If one of my opponents has a king, then they will usually let me know. If they don't then the better players will usually fold, and that leaves me either done with the hand or playing against a loose player who could have a large range of hands which you are way ahead of. Either way, the hand is vulnerable to overcards (not to mention flush cards), so you shouldn't risk a free card, and you shouldn't set yourself to be bluffed off the hand, both of which would be mistakes in a pot that is getting large. Check-folding every time you flop and overcard with JJ that doesn't make a set out of position is a play that will cost you money in the long run, since most of the flops you see will contain an overcard. Some reads would be nice. What type of hands do MP3 and Button cold-call with? Would any of them semi-bluff with a flush draw? Would any of them bet a smaller pair than yours in this spot? |
