Default really simply 3rd Q (Hi/Lo)

I'm still learning this game. Is it standard/common for a bring-in with, say, KJ2, to complete when the field has mostly middle/high cards showing? Obviously it would depend on your propensity to complete the bring-in w/ legitimate hands, but assuming you do. And where do you draw the line?

I think it's pretty standard for the bringin to just bringin with KJ2 and get ready to fold to the possibility of any action. If by some extremely unlikely circumstance in an 8 handed game the others have QQQQJJJ showing then maybe, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I bring it in for the minimum with the intention of folding. The game would have to be exceptionally tight for me to consider trying to steal, and I'm not in the habit of sitting in tight games.
