how do we know the rocket won't show the same signs of aging? he is a year older than randy...

because last year he had the best season he's had since 1986. look, we don't know for sure, but rocket is a free agent and our only real trade bait is Cano. We can't trade Cano for half a year of Clemens and our minor league system is pretty barren besides Hughes who isn't very developed yet. Teams who would give us a Dontrelle or a Zito are going to want ready pitching OR a ready position player and an ace pitching prospect, and we don't have that.

and even clemens won't command that much. We could prob get him for 4 million a month July-Sept.
