Default 56s played ugly, 50NL

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($49.78)
UTG ($42.77)
Hero ($96.92)
SB ($12.73)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
1 fold, Hero raises to $1.5, SB (poster) calls $1.25, BB raises to $2.75, Hero calls $1.75, SB calls $1.75.

Flop: ($9.75) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $9.48, SB folds, BB raises to $19.4, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $38.63

Obviously I wanted to isolate SB. I don't know why I wanted to do that though, since BB has not been out of line and his line seems like high pp.

I know I played it ugly, should I have not bet the flop?

check, and see what he does. most likely its c/f.

If you want to get a little tricky you could try a c/r.

nh. You don't have to pot the turn. Basically, you are repping the Q hoping they fold a better pair than yours. You don't have to go full pot to accomplish that.

haha, yeah you're right. man I'm off today. but no, it wouldn't be bad, your pair of 5s doesn't really have showdown value against the preflop reraiser. If he's tight a c/r might just get him to lay down AA KK JJ. Of course thats all very hypothetical.

In this scenario I probably would have half potted it. and then folded if he raised.

Yeah I think my line was too strong to represent a Q. I bet 9.48 to put SB all in.
