Re: Folding AQo to an MP raiser...too passive?
[ QUOTE ]
Given the read, AQo is a good hand to isolate with here. AJo and ATs are also raises for me here. I would also probably reraise down to 88. EDIT: Open quiz for n0o0bz: What do you flat call with here? (Answer later.) [/ QUOTE ] Generally nothing but I guess you could flat call lower pocket pairs on a loose passive table if you know you'll get callers behind. |

Re: Folding AQo to an MP raiser...too passive?
[ QUOTE ]
I don't think there is a standard play in this situation; it's very highly read dependant. However if your LAG read on the guy is good then it's squarely in the 3-bet camp--you should have an edge against what he's got. Just never flat call with it outside of the BB and it's all gg. [/ QUOTE ] I was going to respond, but this pretty much nails it... ok, I will add a little bit. I might be thinking about the players to act behind me as well. Hopefully, they fold and isolate. If you have calling machines this hand could get trickier. For the record, I am 3-betting with this read. |
