Default Question for MTT veterans on satellites

To any MTT veteran of satellites,

What is considered a good winrate(cashing and/or qualifying) for a satellite tournament? Some examples, P-Stars $36+3 qualifiers(1 seat for every 6 players) for the $1,000,000 Sunday Tourney, and the P-Stars WSOP satellite $80(73+7)(1 seat for every 9 players) to the $650 qualifier on Sunday.

I'd like to know if I have some potential satellite strategy flaws or am just running to negative variance? I've looked over my hand histories in these satellites and haven't seen any obvious(to me) leaks. However, I don't feel my results are matching my playing ability or are my expectations just too high?

I have not played enough of these to have meaningful numbers, but here they are. I played five of the $73+$7 WSOP satellites and have won the $650 seat twice. I have played 43 of the $36+$3 satellites for the Sunday $215 and have won the seat 19 times. I find these satellites to be VERY easy, and I am certainly no MTT pro by any means.

Titanium,

Thanks for your reply. I'm hoping for a few more responses from some of the elder 2 plus 2'ers for more info.
