Caldarooni,

Most of the regulars under 30 in that game (I'd say there's about 10), barely understand the english language. About 9 of the 10 don't know standard poker hand rankings, and the other 1 guy is a lurker but does not post here.

Also, Yasher, their food is most definetely NOT "amazing". But it is acceptable, and it is cheap as [censored].

I start grad school at CSU San Marcos in January, and will probably move from Poway to San Marcos after my lease is up so you'll be seeing alot of me there. It'll be hell of alot closer than any other casino for me.

There was some guy at my table yesterday discussing his rakeback online with one of the other guys at the table.

Needless to say, the other guy couldn't grasp the concept of "rakeback", but the guy talking about it was a good player.

Also, I haven't played at Ocean's enough to know who the regular under 30 players are, but did recognize some of the same faces on my three trips in the last week.

I don't want to imply that there were many or that the game was even close to tough. But when I observe something simple, like someone never cold-calling a raise preflop, its either 3-bet or fold, I raise an eyebrow.

Actually San Marcos should put you just about midway between Oceans 11 and Pechanga so you will have a bit of varity of choice.

????

Pechanga is a lot longer drive than san marcos --> oceanside (I've lived at both locations).

How does Oceans11 compare to pechanga (game softness, # players)? I play Pechanga a bit (since I live in Temecula) but wouldn't mind a drive to Oceanside as a change of pace.

Ok, I had to double check with Google Maps but it is farther but Pechanga is likely to have less traffic depending on time of day shooting up the I15. At any case from San Marcos either is an easy trip.

I think the games are softer at Pechanga but I do like Oceans 11. Staff is better food is priced better (but I never pay for food at Pechanga always have time on my rewards card for that).

How are the tournaments there? I play some tournaments at Viajas but their structure is T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E, not to mention the drive from Del Mar. I think Oceans would be closer to me.
