[ QUOTE ]
I'd try unplugging 1 thing at a time and see if I can at least power up and get to the point where I'd being to change BIOS settngs if I wanted to. I'd try things like unplugging the drives one by one from the power supply and then from the motherboard. It justs seems like some connection is slightly out of kilter but enough to screw up your machine. Maybe this way you can isolate the problem. [/ QUOTE ] UPDATE: I don't know what I did, but I got it to the point where I can log in fairly reliably and have the USB keyboard work. HOWEVER I can't get ANY mouse to work. I have 3... a PS2, a standard USB optical, and a USB wireless laser. None of them work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver (the optical USB comes up as "unknown USB device" and I get a note that says, "your USB device has malfuctioned" every time I plug it in. I also tried installing the setpoint software for the wireless, no dice. Hmm. |

I'd go into the BIOS and change the mouse setting, save and exit. I'd go back into the BIOS and change it back to what you want it to be. You never know.
