bet..no way regulars checking a straight there.

I think the bigger problem is that villian is probably not laying down a better hand to a bet. (overpair, two pair, set, etc.) More likely we'll be facing a raise from a better hand.

YOu have a very strong draw, and a pretty big pot... This is a very good spot to push IMO. About the only thing you get called by is KQ, AK, KK.

The fact that you have so many outs here IF you get called, and the fact that you don't get called very often here makes pushing best I think.

I don't think checking is great, b/c it'll be tough to get much action on the river when you hit.

guess it depends on the player, your image etc but I think a lot of players are going to have a tough time calling there with just AQ. I also think a set or 2 pair is unlikely, he would have probably pushed with those hands on the flop since the board is so drawish. But I agree it's tempting to just check it back and hope to get payed off when you hit.

Yeah, which is why I like pushing, b/c although perhaps AQ, still folds to a bet, those pretty strong hands, like 2Pair, AA, AQ, set, might fold to a push, but would be inspired to CR push you if he thought you might not have it. and certainly you want to give him every reason to fold here.

It is nice to get your % share of equity in the pot that your draw gives you, but I really doubt you get paid off a whole lot when you hit here.

Very true.

FWIW I think bet (call push) > check > push

as played I took free card and folded to a fat river lead.
